Tax Registrations
As an art show exhibitor, do you need a Vendor's Permit or Certificate of Authority to do business within the State? Is it nearly impossible to do it yourself online? We can do this for you.
Sales Tax Filings
Obtaining the Vendor's Permit/Certificate of Authority to do Business requires the reporting of taxable and non-taxable sales derived from the art fair. We calculate and prepare the State and Local sales tax returns on your behalf, working with your financial team or chartered accountants. We also assist in tax matters for certain internet sales.
Payment of Sales Taxes
Governing State tax agencies do not allow funds to come from non-US banks. We file and pay the sales taxes from our US bank on your behalf. Once the filing and payments are made, a confirmation will be sent to you for your records.
U.S. Tax Form W-8BEN-E
Some buyers, likely larger organizations, request U.S. Federal Tax Form W-8BEN-E from non-US art dealers. This federally mandated form collects information from entities and documents their status for tax reporting purposes. It is used by foreign businesses to claim exempt status from certain tax withholdings as the recipient of sales proceeds from the buyer.
